The Moth and the Lamp Post
“Buzz, Buzz!”
One night a moth flew around and around a lamp post.
“Why do you fly circles around me every night? Is this your home?”
“I’ve lost my way.”
The lamp post felt sorry for the moth.
“where is your home?”
“I don’t have a home, I usually follow the moon.”
Now, the lamp post was curious.
“Why do you follow the moon?”
“because the moon show me the way.”
“How?”
“When the moon moves to the right, I fly to the right. When the moon moves to the left, I fly to the left. I follow the moon’s path, and that’s how I live.”
“Then, you should follow the moon, why are you circling around me?”
“Like the moon, you’re the round. And like the moon, you’re the bright.”
“Hmm... you’re right! So, do I remind you of the moon?”
“Yes, that’s why I can’t find the moon.”
The lamp post felt sorry for moon and decided to help her find the moon. He thought about how he could help the moth. And finally, he found the answer.
“Ok, I’m going to help you.”  
“How?” The moth cried with the excitement.
“If I close my eyes, I will grow dark. Then you can find the moon.”
“Really? Then I can find the moon?”
“Yes, here, I’m going to close my eyes.”
Slowly, the brightness began to fade, and the moth was able to see the moon. And the moth began flying towards the moon, she shouted to the lamp post,
“Thank you for helping me!”
“Good-bye, and don’t lose your way again!”
The moth followed the moon and flew far away from the lamp post.
Each time the moth come to visit, the lamp post would close his eyes. Then, the moth could follow the moon.
They become good friends.
